Lunch time post

OK, so I know I said I wouldn’t be posting for the next couple of days, but I got really bored and work, and HAD to write these two poems down.

cold and lonely
Time seems to stop as I lay here
Between this world and the next
eyes fluttering, longing for the dark
longing for the sleep that will not come
In between two worlds, torn apart by each
This world is real, yet so lonely
The next world–happy, yet fake
Gazing into the distance the thoughts come
Visions entice my mind, Apparitions entice my heart
eyes fluttering, longing for the dark
Quietly I give in–quietly I let the darkness consume me
Then suddenly I am there once again
There in that place that knows no sadness
Longing to stay, yet so quickly pulled back to reality
cold and lonely
I’m between this world and the next
eyes fluttering, longing for the dark

waiting
drip drop, drip drop
waiting
I can feel the air on my face
waiting
The hands of time move so slowly
waiting
waiting, and waiting, and waiting some more
my thoughts drift far away
waiting
the earth moves around the sun
waiting
my body ages, my body slows
waiting
my body stops
I am waiting no longer

OK, so I know I’ve posted a lot of poetry, what can I say? I’m in that sort of mood recently

the next 3 days

You all probably won't hear from me in the next 3 days. I have to work, and I've decided that when I come home, I'm going to check my e-mail and then go right to bed. So, if you do want to talk/contact me either e-mail me at nick@ztug.net or call my cell phone. I'll still have AIM and Yahoo up and running, but I'll be using my away messages(more than I already do) I need a vacation.
On a lighter note, season finale of Smallville was awesome, and the series finale of Angel was…. well. It was ok, though I didn't like the ending.
I need to go to work now.
