The Life of the Nickness

“You’ll Love this when I’m Famous”

One of my favorite worship songs

While I'm at work today, we had one of the Kutless cds playing in our store, when what do I hear? The worship song “Take Me In”!

For those of you who don't know, I used to sing this worship song ten years ago when I was living in England, and it was my favorite worship song. Every time I sang it I imagined I was right there, floating by the people, past the alter, everything. *Sigh* It also reminds me of Isaiah 6:1-8.

Take me past the outer courts
Into the Holy place
Past the brazen altar
Lord I want to see Your face
Pass me by the crowds of people
The priests who sing Your praise
I hunger and thirst for Your righteousness
But it's only found one place

Take me in to the Holy of Holies
Take me in by the blood of the Lamb
Take me in to the Holy of Holies
Take the coal, touch my lips, here I am

Take me past the outer courts
Into the Holy place
Past the brazen altar
Lord I want to see Your face
Pass me by the crowds of people
The priests who sing Your praise
I hunger and thirst for Your righteousness
But it's only found one place

Take me past the outer courts
Into the Holy place
Past the brazen altar
Lord I want to see Your face
Pass me by the crowds of people
The priests who sing Your praise
I hunger and thirst for Your righteousness
But it's only found one place

Take me in to the Holy of Holies
Take me in by the blood of the Lamb
Take me in to the Holy of Holies
Take the coal, touch my lips, here I am

Take me in to the Holy of Holies
Take me in by the blood of the Lamb
Take me in to the Holy of Holies
Take the coal, touch my lips, here I am
Take the coal, touch my lips, here I am

Back then it was my prayer to God. And tonight, ten years after originally hearing it, it remains my prayer to God.
