It’s been a while since I’ve blogged about anything. I’ll get back on track. I promise

My Gym workout mix

Ok, so I’ve started going to the gym twice a day, and realized fairly quickly I needed to create a great mix of songs to keep me going strong. This is still a work in progress, but listed below is what I’ve got so far.

And please, no comments on how the first 5 songs are like an 80s/90s rock band 2 throw back.

Things start to slow down a bit starting with song 16, and of course I have to include #22 in every mix I have. Well, that and “Grief and Sorrow” by Toshiro Masuda.

More Life Changes

I’ve decided that no matter which job I take next, I am also going to pursue an A.A.S. in Business Management, with the intent that once I complete it I’ll move onward to a B.S.

I’m not going to let not having a degree hold me back any longer.

Surprise life changes

I was fired from my job today.

I sorta knew it was coming, and will give you all more details later, but I’m still very much in shock.

I thought I’d have this job for years.

And less than a month after being promoted I’m terminated.

Wow.

Rehearsal Dinner

Will be held at Ledo’s Pizza.. the BEST pizza place on earth!

Rehearsal starts at 6pm….I’m not nervous yet, but I wonder if it will kick in then?

For now I must clean clean clean before my guest come over to chill with me before the madness begins.

I’m fuming

I have tons to say and updated you about, but for now I’ll keep this post to a short and simple rant.

I just found out(4 days before the rehearsal dinner, mind you) that my father won’t be paying for ANY alcohol at the rehearsal dinner.

His reasoning? He believes if people know they can order alcohol on his tab, they’ll go crazy and order as much as they want. (Does he think they’re alcoholics or something? He hasn’t met a single one of them!!)

Keep in mind that the ONLY thing they have to do for the wedding (other than show up and rent a tux) is the rehearsal dinner.

Also keep in mind that they didn’t plan a damn thing concerning it because they live in England and felt they couldn’t, so Megan and I planned everything.

Also keep in mind that when Megan and I proposed the current rehearsal dinner plans(that they agreed to and said they would pay for) it included 1 beer for about 90% of our guests there–because we know who’s coming and who drink and who won’t. Not to mention it also included a wee bit of ‘wiggle’ room for those guests we thought might drink two.

It’s tasteless to invite people to a rehearsal dinner and have them pay for their own drink, and I can’t supply any alcohol because the restaurant obviously won’t allow it.

If only they could have let us know this, oh, I don’t know…. MONTHS ago when this was originally planned, I’d be prepared for it, and who knows? Maybe would have picked a place that allowed us to supply our own drinks. But no. Gotta be an ass and tell us 4 days before the event.

Now to find a tactful way of telling people that they can’t order alcohol, even though most of them think they can.

I was going to go with the whole ‘my father is an asshole’ excuse, but we both know thats not tactful.

My sister claims it’s because it’s my second wedding and I’m having (what she considers) a large rehearsal dinner.

Wow. With that attitude I guess I should feel special he’s even showing up.

Not that I even want him to now. Thank God he wasn’t paying for anything for the actual wedding. We’d be having it in the backyard with hose water for refreshments.

Yup, I’m pissed.

EDIT: I’m still pissed, but it turns out Megan called my mom and ‘gently reminded her’ of the financial details(ie, how cheap alcohol is at this place) and that they’d already agreed to pay for it. My mom spoke with my dad(I don’t know what was said) but my mom called Megan back and said they’d pay for it. Thank God.

My Bachelor party is next Friday, and the Friday after that I’m getting married.

On a totally unrelated note, my store just got a new GM, and let me say I am very happy with who they picked.

Tuesday I’m flying into Miami to visit my Abuella til Saturday. It may be the last time I see her alive.

The world lost a great, great man.

Now, in less than two months we’ll be husband and wife.

New glasses!

I just picked up my 2 new pairs of eye glasses.

And damn do I look hott!

Coming Monday Nights

From the end of March til I get married, Anne Arundel Community College is offering Basic Dance for Wedding Receptions as a non-credit course.

Megan, myself, and her parents are all going to take it, and I’m thinking maybe Megan and I will take a couple private dance lessons to learn some advanced moves for our foxtrot.

Yay for dancing!

Going back to school?

So it’s been in the ‘works’ for a while now, with both Megan and I going back and forth on how I could go back to school, which school, what I would study, etc…

But suffice to say a major candidate for the school is Global University. It’s mainly a distance education school affiliated with the A/G. I’m really interested because since I went to two A/G schools, I know my credits will transfer with minimal complications, and their B.A. in Religious Education is right up my ally.

Nothing set in stone yet, but its a great feeling to at least know theres a stone to work with, if you know what I mean.

I think it was a BIG mistake to send Alaina home yesterday. The two girls who I can’t wait to be sent home are Amanda Overmyer(stupid rocker chick. You can’t sing!) and Asia’h Epperson. The two guys are David Cook(In my mind he’s now a major jerk for the comment he made to Simon) and Jason Castro.
